THE OFFICIAL PICTURE THREAD: Things you like(d) the most

Cammy looks cute and has good moves. But I've always preferred the StreetFighter Alpha 2 version for its cartoony/anime looks over the more anatomically correct popular version SF2 (World Warriors). And it doesn't look like Cammy is in it:

She's not in Alpha 2, but she's in Alpha 3, as a 16-year-old Doll.
:)

I'm starting this thread for things you like the most/your hobbies/interests.

Doesn't have to be current interests, could be something you liked in the past.

And, I'm hoping everyone could keep it strictly a "picture/video thread" to keep the mystique, if possible. So, for starters:

Same music as in above video. But broken into two parts. The music was ripped from the game itself vs hearing it thru the TV...

Eastern "Superman" (aka The Monkey King). I kid you not The Buddha is in Monkey King story. Buddha imprisioned Monkey King under a giant rock for 500 years for being naughty and causing ruckus in Heaven (Monkey King is immortal):

(Monkey King is even older than Superman, first published in 16th century during Ming Dynasty)

Variations and permutations of The Monkey King:

Dragon Ball Z (Goku):

Inuyasha (wears subjugation necklace much like Monkey King's subjugation head band):

Imagine if Superman went up against Jesus Christ. We know Supes to be invincible, but we also know who would win...

People in the Western Hemisphere really love the original John Williams STAR WARS theme. Likewise, People in the Eastern Hemisphere consider the Monkey King theme from the 80's a classic, even today.

List of Monkey King superpowers (aka why Monkey King is Eastern "Superman"):

T_SunWukong_Gold_Card.png

1. Can fly on nimbus cloud

2. Lifespan of millions of human years

3. Has numerous magical abilities, like transforming into a tiny insect

4. Immune to all earthly fires, including volcano lava, but Divine Fire can hurt him

5. Has superhuman strength --- uses staff as primary weapon, which is actually a giant building pillar shrunk to fit his hands. It weighs the same as a giant pillar (in the metric tonnes), and getting hit by the staff is equivalent to getting hit by the giant pillar.

6. Uses his hairs to make hundreds of clones of himself (DNA cloning anyone?)

Conclusive proof that STAR WARS (any Trilogy) is 37% Japanese and 63% Chinese in origin:

The 37% Japanese part:

The 63% Chinese part:

Han Solo + Millennium Falcon
Han-Solo5.jpg

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_Chinese
The Han Chinese are an ethnic group native to East Asia. They constitute approximately 92% of the population of Mainland China, 93% of the population of Hong Kong, 92% of the population of Macau, 98% of the population of Taiwan

In other words, Han Solo + Millennium Falcon == Chinaman + Giant Bird. (ie. George Lucas specially chose the name Han Solo b/c it's a play on word/name for Han Chinese ethnic group)

There is our conclusive proof!

Rey's hairstyle in the Force Awakens looks very Ancient Chinese to me, but the knots are more lower than their Eastern counterpart:

Looks like my speculations are spot on for SW Ep VIII (at least the rumors in circulation anyways).

1. Rey is a descendant of Obi-Wan. Seems spot on as in Heaven Sword & Dragon Saber (HSDS), Zhang Sanfeng (Luke Skywalker's counterpart) is Zhang Wuji's (Rey's) Godfather not her father.

2. Obi isn't Rey's father but more like grandfather. Rey's parents aren't alive at the start of Ep VII. Seems spot on again as Zhang Wuji was an orphan before he became an adult in HSDS.

3. No more Dragon Saber (ie. Kylo Ren's fire-breathing red-bladed sword). Seems spot on again. In HSDS, the Dragon Saber was destroyed to obtain half of the secret map hidden within the hollow inside of its blade. Ren will carry a new lightsaber in Ep 8/9.

4. Luke is the most powerful figure in the Sequels. So is his Asian counterpart Zhang Sanfeng. Even though an old man, no one can rival his Kung Fu skills in HSDS.

5. Snoke is Darth Plagueis. Sidious was his apprentice (until Sidious betrayed him). Seems spot on again as in HSDS. If everyone looked back to a few pages in this thread, they'll discover that Sidious is a monk (aka the Golden Wheel Monk). Plagueis being Sidious's former master also makes him a monk. Snoke is based on Cheng Kun character in HSDS, who is also a [Shaolin] monk.

6. In HSDS Zhang Sanfeng (Luke) taugh Zhang Wuji (Rey) a few new tricks in their reunion. They immediately had to fight the enemies (Ren + The Knights [of Ren]) together with Rey's new techinques. So yes, there WILL be a fierce battle between Luke + Rey and Ren + his Knights mirroring their counterparts in HSDS.

Heaven Sword & Dragon Saber (or HSDS, basis of SW Ep VII-IX):

tumblr_n5f5emtvRy1tnzn5zo4_1280.jpg

Bottom-most: Rey Kenobi (Zhang Wuji)
2nd Bottom-right: metrosexual Kylo Ren (Zhou Zhiruo)
2nd Bottom-left: Rey's boyfriend (definitely not Finn, could be Kylo or a new character in Ep VII. Why Kylo plays both char in 2nd bottom row? To save time. 3 movies does not permit too many characters
Top-most middle: Luke Skywalker (Zhang Sanfeng)

Some characters in above poster will not appear in STAR WARS d/t time restrictions...

This post assumes most of you already knew Disney gender-switched some major HSDS characters in the Sequel Trilogy. If not, read back a few pages in this thread...

My favorite story trilogy of all time:

1127931.jpg

What is the Condor Trilogy?

1. Consists of the following 3 works: i. Legend of the Condor Heroes (1957) ii. Return of the Condor Heroes (1959) iii. Heaven Sword & Dragon Saber (1961)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condor_Trilogy

2. Each part adapts into a TV series of no less than 54 episodes each 45 min. long. If the entire Trilogy was adapted as is, it would be 3 x 54 x 0.75 = 120 hours long!

3. If we substitute "Condor Heroes" for "Jedi Heroes", we get STAR WARS

4. (i.) story is about two characters born at the same time. One traveled down the dark path and succumbed to it. This person also murdered and then perished ( = Anakin Skywalker). But b4 he died, he had a child (= Luke Skywalker). The other char of the same age was good but was conveniently left out of SW Ep I-III b/c it's impossible to adapt a 24-hour work into 3 movies.

5. (ii.) story is about child of evil char in (i). who grew up to find out his father's real nature. His mother died shortly after giving birth to him. Growing up as an orphan, he met a woman many years his senior (= Padme) who became his master and lived with her. Eventually they fell in love. He then lost his arm in a scuffle with a spoiled brat (daughter of good char in (i) who never appeared in SW Ep I-III d/t time constraint). A giant Condor (= Millennium Falcon) then saved him and trained him. Afterwards he became so powerful with his remaining arm that no ordinary man was a match for him. He befriended the Giant Condor and sought to redeem his father's reputation by being good fighting alongside the Giant Condor. One of their arch nemesis is a very powerful monk with destructive flying wheel weapons (= Darth Sidious/Golden Wheel Monk), whom they eventually defeated. Before losing his arm in the scuffle with the spoiled brat, hero met two elders, who died peacefully shortly after teaching him (= Yoda + Obi-Wan becoming Forces ghosts after training Luke). They imparted the skills he needed to defeat Golden Wheel Monk's minions (=Darth Maul + The Viceroy; The Viceroy can actually fight good in Condor Trilogy, unlike in the prequels where he uses his political influences to "fight") early on.

6. (iii.) story is about the heroes in (ii.) who left half of a secret map in each of the metal blades of the Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber before they died. The map leads to a secret location of a Kung Fu training manual that contains the heroes' cumulative Kung Fu knowledge (rather than to Luke Skywalker as is in Ep VII). Everybody sought to possess both re-known swords. Eventually a newly appointed leader of a female cult, Zhou Zhiruo (= Kylo Ren), obtained both swords broke their blades, pieced together the secret hidden map within the blades, and sought out the secret Kung Fu manual. After learning Kung Fu skills that made her near invincible she became corrupted by its powers and turned to the Dark Side. But the skills took a long time (years) to learn. Zhou Zhiruo needed to become powerful quickly, so she learnt the shortcuts instead. Meanwhile, the one-arm hero in (ii.) had a female descendant (= Princess Leia) who was taught the full skills that took years to learn. She was able to tame Zhou Zhiruo in the end using the same set of skills that took her years to master rather than months. Lurking within the backdrop, there is an evil Shaolin monk (=Snoke) who plotted to bring chaos and destruction to the world as a sort of revenge to being betrayed and hurt by a woman he once loved. His plans was eventually thwarted by an orphan (=Rey), the heir of a different but albeit powerful cult than Zhou Zhiruo's (Kylo's), who together with his Godfather (=Luke Skywalker's new role) actually saved girl Zhou Zhirou (Kylo) and even befriended her in their childhood. Eventually the orphan grew up to recoup the title of Master of his cult, and even trained under his Godfather (Luke). As he became increasingly powerful (more so than Zhou Zhiruo/Kylo) he was increasingly more capable of thwarting the evil Shaolin monk's (Snoke's) plans...

1961 (iii. the last in the Trilogy was first published as a serials in a newspaper in HK) ---> 16 years later 1977 (STAR WARS Ep IV).

How did George Lucas know about Condor Trilogy in such a short amount of time?

1. Possible theory: By accident as part of espionage program on China. To be effective, espionage on a country must involve all levels, such as the popular culture, what the crowd is thinking, not just on its military...
