Howto: Firefox MP4 for XP and multi profiles

Thanks, I removed abPrime and now have uBlock origin installed on MyPal,
Interesting thing, when I went to the link you posted in FIREFOX there was a download button for a .xpi file, but when I went to that link in MYPAL there was no download button, just an add to firefox button so I clicked on it and it installed just like it does with firefox, :)

Your welcome :D.Well i was searching for uBlock origin for firefox 27 because mozilla said that im running firefox 27 on My Pal:).So i always search for addons like "Noscript for firefox 27" and i find them :)

Its all red here. I don't even have a plugins page, it just says no plugins and 5 out 6 features are red.
Delete the folders:
C: \ Program Files \ Mypal
C: \ Documents and Settings \ *user* \ Program data \ Moonchild Productions
C: \ Documents and Settings \ *user* \ Local Settings \ Program Data \ Moonchild Productions
Restart
Reinstall Mypal

Same result. I cleaned everything out, user files, profiles, palemoon etc. and re installed 27.9.4 again.

Why does it install profiles in two different places ? There is one in application data and one in local settings/application data

lockherup: this is done to preserve your logins, bookmarks, etc.

the one in application data is the profile, the one in local settings is for temp files, which get cleaned out when I run ccleaner.

there must be some other settings within your os itself that is doing this, are you using an xp lite os?

I am using just regular xp pro, there is still wmp9, which came with xp but I do not use it, and have never added the update for wmp11.

I just installed this yesterday and have only made a few changes.

reply 2: go to this site, the site for issues with mypal:

I cannot pinpoint what is missing from your system that will cause a new install to be blank like that. reference this thread with a link when you post there. and post a link to the thread you create so we can follow it, please, :)

In your initial post you say that you have copied profiles. You must have damaged something that has been recorded in the windows registry.

Firefox also use 3 folders:
C:\Archivos de programa\Mozilla Firefox
C:\Documents and Settings\ *user* \Configuración local\Datos de programa\Mozilla
C:\Documents and Settings\ *user* \Datos de programa\Mozilla

I had to give up on this for now. I can't do much when there is no plugins at all and I figured out that it was a problem with the OS. I use XP original but really stripped down with almost nothing running but the essentials

I have attached a zip file of my nlite document on what should and should not be removed from windows, and if you burn a copy of install with nlite it goes over it in the dialog box and lets you know which removal will hurt something else

I have deleted much of those things in the doc file and have little services running. This is fine for me, the FF52 plays bitchute and I don't want to load any of those things to make it work in other browsers. It was a nice effort but clearly its OS related and I'm ok with that. Thanks for all the efforts, I have noticed my FF25 is also missing the plugins page so I'll just continue to use mypal for browsing and ff52 for mp4.
