Thanks, Clippy. He is going to be ok, stage 1 Laryngeal cancer (Never smoked in his life). He is home now after the operation. Daughters are busy fussing over him. Should have excellent prognosis. He can now share his cancer stories with our friend Mr Siamese Cat (Jen), who incidentally smokes 20 and day, drinks 2 bottles of whiskey a week, has had at least 3 types of cancer over the last 6 years including multiple myeloma and seems completely immortal.Sorry to hear that as well and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I think that you desperately need a girlfriend, my boy - no, don't despair, there are plenty not very bright, with poor eyesight, impaired sense of smell and unattractive enough to settle even for the likes of you. Be careful and look for one that doesn't understand English. Good luck!Let's meet up in 30 years, then we'll see who wins
RIP if you know what I mean.
