Today is a day where I'm happy I no longer work as an IT admin

Fridays usually meant long weekends at work due to incidents like this. Today I raise many pints to the poor sods that have to deal with this.

I bet you were laughing. Glad me and my husband are retired.

Today was the day my husband finally decided he would go with the same system, as me. I use locked down Windows 10, along with everything other program locked. Nothing ever updates or requests to update. Huge “hosts” file (13784 lines).

I feel sorry for people working from home, if they have to use the company computer, log in; And are forced into having windows update on to meet compliance. A lot of friends were ringing today - through boredom complaining “can’t work, system down, or have been told to finish early, just in case, because of IT panic” etc.

NHS was hit hard. GP’s, Prescriptions and all hospitals.

Windows Update, although I don’t ever have the displeasure of ever suffering it, almost seems to be Malware considering the countless work hours and billions lost because of it.

Yep... Billions
