Sound crackling?

Hello, just wanted to say sorry for my poor english.
So... My sound has been crackling/popping in alot of games and not only , also for mumble and this kind of stuff, same with Skype.

I have read many forums about this but couldnt find solution , i have heard that "outdated drivers" might be the problem... but the thing is i dont know what sound card i have :\

Heres what i have in my "Device manager - Sound , video and game controllers"
- Audio Codecs
-Legacy Audio Drivers
-Legacy Video Capture Drivers
-Media Control Devices
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio
-VIA High Definition Audio
-Video Codes

(Couldnt post a pic says i dont have enghout points on forums to do so)

Please , help! Sorry if i didnt provide enghout info , please ask if u have any questions about my pc :\ and pardon my bad english once again :)

Okay, it looks like you have some kind of NVIDIA or VIA sound card (or both?).
More exact information aren't aviable from your list.

Usually the needed drivers are shipped with your computer or laptop or sound card...
In case of an onboard sound card: It should be on your motherboard driver installation disk and should be part of the chipset drivers.
In case of laptop: you might have one cd with all drivers by manufacturer - usually you can re-download it from the laptop manufacturer using the numbers written on your laptop.
In case of seperate sound card: it should be on a cd shipped with your card.

I think in your case it's onboard sound.
It's not easy to identify a component's name when you're not sure you have the correct driver installed. The names displayed in the device manager are set by the drivers during installation. There is one way (I know) to find the correct name (which you need to find the correct driver), if someone else had to search for the same driver previously and posted it online.
Open the properties of your NVIDIA and VIA sound devices, navigate to the hardware id and search for them in google (or maybe posten them in here). it should look like this:
http://i.pictr.com/ut9ymy612c.jpg

Some questions about your problem:
1. Does it occur always or only when windows has run for a while?
2. Does it exist from the beginning of you using this pc or has it started after an update or os re-install or something?
3. Do you have a PC or a laptop?
4. Onboard or PCI soundcard? (on a pc, when it's offboard the sound connectors are usually located in one of those card slots at the lower of the back of your pc; when it's onboard sound they are part of a large rectangle with nearly all connectors your computer have, including usb, vga, p2/s, lpt, lan)
5. Do you have ANY informations about the components installed into your computer? Like a box, manual or bill for the motherboard? Or a name and manufacturer of your pc?

I'm fighting a similar issue on win7 - it occurs after ~45min of playing and disappears after a restart of the service "windows audio".
I also have a similar issue when I'm using my usb headset (the sound card is integrated) while playing and talking in mumble at the same time.

P.S.: To post pictures, you can just upload them on a 1-click-hoster like pictr.com and post the link in here.
P.S.S.: VIA drivers can be found here, NVidia drivers can be found here.

first uninstall all the drivers, There should only be one listing under sound device.

do you have a manufacturer for your pc??

is says in system info "to be filled in by oem", do you have a self built pc??

If you uninstall all the drivers and then reboot, you can go to device manager and you should have a question mark by sound device, which you can then determine by doing the following:

How To Find Drivers For An Unrecognized Device

1. Open Device Manager (Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager)
2. The hardware whose drivers are missing will appear as Unknown device, so it's easier to locate the device.
3. Right click on the unknown device and click on Properties.
4. Under the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id from the drop down box.
5. You should see a code similar to this

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DC&SUBSYS_30868086
&REV_01\4&1E46F438&0&40F0

6. The portion of the code highlighted in RED is the Vendor ID and the portion highlighted in GREEN is the Device ID. In this example:

Vendor ID = 8086
Device ID = 27DC

7. Once you have obtained both the IDs, proceed to PCI Database. There you can either search for the vendor from the vendor ID or directly get information about the device along with the vendor name by searching with the device ID.

8. Then from there you can go directly to the hardware manufactureres website and get the driver.

above shows the sound driver, do you have an extra sound card installed??

I do not have other devices, what happens if you disable these also?? is there a sound card integrated into your motherboard??

okay you searched for the Vendor ID, after the vendor id page is up you can search for the device ID

what is your vendor id 1106?

and the device id is what, I will see if I can get the direct download link.

Ok i uninstalled all drivers and installed some VIA driver , it seems to be fixed now! Thank you so much!!! :)

I've searched for device id at pcidatabase and it reveals
Chip Number: VT1708S
Chip Description: VIA HD Audio Codecs
Notes: http://download.viatech.com/DriverDownloadSubmitAjaxSvl
as the correct chip.

Selecting it at via's driver page leads to the same link entered at pci database:
http://download.viatech.com/DriverDownloadSubmitAjaxSvl

But read the notes:
The audio drivers provided on this website are general sound effect drivers withcommon functions. System manufacturers and motherboard vendors customize audiohardware and software and therefore, to ensure optimal sound quality andcompatibility, we strongly recommend you to obtain the system-validated andcertified audio drivers directly from your system manufacturer or motherboardmanufacturer. If you use audio drivers provided on this website and youexperience a difficulty, we recommend that you uninstall them and instead usethe latest drivers supplied by your motherboard or system manufacturer.
So you can try them.
If those are the wrong drivers, the installation should faild with an info like "no supported device has been found".
If they work --> fine.
If not, you have to find out which motherboard is installed in your pc.

For your nvidia audio device:
Some page revealed that VEN_10DE&DEV_0014 is packed in the "nvidia geforce/ion driver" - ION only leads to HDMI Audio - do you have a graphics card or an onboard graphics chip with hdmi?
However, it leads to: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/14897/en-us
Maybe I'm wrong, but it strongly looks like you have a motherboard with an ION chipset.
If you manage now to find out which company built your motherboard, you maybe can find out which one you have by searching for all ION motherboards on their page.

EDIT: It looks like, I'm too late. :)
