We also could use some info on your internet connection i.e. is it Ethernet, Wi-fi, or dial-up? What networking hardware does your computer have? Wi-fi card, Ethernet jack, or modem card?

Hi done as above, still cant get on internet

If you are trying to connect wirelessly, make sure that the physical switch on the side of the laptop is on.

In XP Network connections, check that the LAN adapter or the WLAN adapter has been enabled.
