Not able to connect my mobile internet in windows xp

Hi,
I have windows xp professional sp3 in my pc.
I tried to connect my Android mobile using USB tethering for internet connection.
But pc unable to connect with mobile internet
Please help.

what is make, model, model number of pc and model number of the android, then I can do a search to see if they are compatible. :)
