Mypal browser problems

Hi People,

A month or so back I found that Mypal 68 started to "draw-out vertically" some of the graphics on web pages.
The problem didn't "seem" to affect Mypal 29 at first, but as I used 29more I soon saw the problem there as well.

I kept popping over here to see if it was just me, or if others had noticed the problem.
Now I've found a work-around, I thought I should let others know about it.

On Mypal 68.14.4b
Under Options / General / Performance
Un-ticking "Use recommended performance settings" fixed the problem for me.

On Mypal 29.3 (Which was less affected)
Under Tools / Preferences / Advanced / Scrolling
Un-ticking - "Use smooth scrolling" fixed the problem for me "I think". If not this, something else did!
It's harder to test as 29.3 doesn't always produce the problem.

The problem "seems" much worse when my internet connection is poor.

Also:
I've been using "Supermium" more often lately to get me through "I am a human" website tests.
Once I'm though the test, I generally copy & paste the URL in to Mypal and carry on as normal,
especially if I want to make use of "Get'emAll" multi-threaded downloads.

I also noticed "Get'emAll" has been back under development recently.

My everyday pc is quad core L5420 Xeon with 2GB of ram running XP configured to resemble win2K.

When first running (for the first time on a given day) "Mypal 29.3 & Mypal 68" take between 6-10 seconds to load & display.

When first running (for the first time on a given day) "Supermium", it takes 30+ seconds to load & display with all 4 cores max'd out!
(I wonder if Supermium has been compiled in a debug mode?)

I think the fact that no one else is complaining says a lot about my internet connection!

Photo's above.

I also just found out a few moments ago that I also have to Un-Tick "Use hardware acceleration when available" on Mypal68

This affects all my pc's & laptops.

I don't have access to my XP laptop right now but the fact that you have to disable hardware acceleration points to a problem with video, mis-configured drivers or perhaps your video doesn't support hardware acceleration at all.

Keep in mind that Supermium is based on Chromium 132 meant for modern Windows 10/11 PCs with gigabytes or RAM. Your 2GB is definitely going to cause performance problems with Supermium.
