How can I update Roytam's XP browsers

I am using Serpent and Mypal browsers. Apparently, Roytam's XP browsers do not automatically update. I have been told, here in the forum, that I should be able to just extract the new browser files over the old ones. I don't know how to do this. Can someone please explain how to "extract the new browser files over the old ones"?
 
Extract files from the ZIP, RAR or whatever container they come in. Copy and paste these files into the directory where your current installation exist.

Or, simply create a new folder and run it that way, and direct the browser to where the current profile exists.

When I do this do I have to remove the old redundant files manually afterwards?

I can create a new folder with the new files but what I am supposed to do after that is not clear to me. Can you explain this?
