A good replacement for AVAST ?

Guys and gals,
After years of happy usage on my XP computer, my Avast Premium Security is having issues with being renewed. I cannot seem to activate my code or license to get it working properly again. I chatted with the support, but they told me about the non-support for XP, and that there wasn't much they could do to help.
Long story short, looks like I may need to try a new Antivirus program for my XP computer.
Are there any programs one can recommend that will install and run on my 32 bit XP machine ?
I'm looking for an Avast replica, as I was very happy with that program, though I have heard that many folks were not happy with it.
That being said, if there is someone who can fill me in on some other good possibilities to replace my Avast, it would be greatly appreciated !

I cannot recommend my antivirus yet, as it is still in alpha. Have you tried cracking Avast?

Forgive my stupidity, but what exactly do you mean by cracking Avast? LOL

Cracking in terms of software means bypassing some kind of restriction, like the need for premium or someone's password. For example, cracking Minecraft means launchers that do not require any authentication at all, thus making the game free. Cracking AVG would be making it think that you still have premium even though you don't

Gotcha. No, I have a paid sub to Avast, it's just not activating my code on the program. It's just a matter of the program not accepting it. They tell me it is because of the non-support of XP now, which is why my code is not being accepted. So, that is why I will have to try to find another Antivirus software, if this problem cannot be fixed.
